THANKSGIVING

The 27th of November, Laude Pre-School Children have celebrated Thanksgiving Day.
It is an American National Holiday where people give thanks for the blessings of the harvest and food and of the preceding year. Nowadays, everybody thanks not only for food but other reasons as family, friends, health etc. Its roots are dated from 1620 when the Pilgrims who came from England, arrived in North America.
First, we have watched videos of Thanksgiving to know better and to understand what it is and what we celebrate. Second, we have made Pilgrims and Indians hats to take home. Third we have done Turkey and Mayflower cards with our families to say I´m thankful for…. We have put them up on the Christmas tree in our hall sharing all together. We have said out loud: Happy Thanksgiving Day! Finally we have exchanged presents. We have done napkin rings for other classes.
In conclusion we have caught the spirit of Thanksgiving and we have had a great time. We will love celebrating it next year.
